
CALATRONI CELLAR - Enhancement of the vine and terroir while respecting the environment
The Calatroni Agricultural Company and the adjoining Agriturismo are based in Moncalvo Versiggia, a splendid hilly area in the heart of the Versa Valley, a geographical area which historically has always represented very favorable characteristics for the cultivation of a complex grape such as Pinot Noir, allowing the achievement of optimal levels of acidity and organoleptic complexity for sparkling winemaking as a Classic Method. In the long years of activity (over 4 generations of experience behind us!), the dedication and constant drive towards qualitative excellence have led the Company to develop increasingly expressive and characterful "bubbles".
The philosophy of the estate is based on an environmentally friendly approach with the consequent adoption of organic cultivation with low environmental impact and on the use of energy from renewable sources, an enhancement project which has led the company to obtain organic certification from 2019 vintage.
The complete supply chain allows the entire production process to be monitored, thus guaranteeing maximum quality and traceability.
The level of quality achieved by the wines is demonstrated by the countless awards obtained over the years (for example, the 3 Gambero Rosso glasses).
The structure also includes a very suggestive Agriturismo, Il Calice dei Cherubini, with a panoramic view of the valley and the vineyards, where it is possible to enjoy a 360° food and wine experience, from specific tastings to catering, based on the use of local organic raw materials.
The range of wines of the Calatroni company is wide and versatile, with all the typologies of wine characteristic of the Oltrepò Pavese it is able to satisfy the tastes of the most demanding and refined consumers.
