It is in the hinterland of the Ligurian Riviera, precisely on the edge of a small medieval town, Montalto Ligure, in the heart of the Taggiasca cultivar, that Frantoio Secondo was founded in 2012, a young company that takes advantage of the profound experience gained by the owner and deep-rooted family olive oil tradition.
The oil mill uses a latest generation continuous cycle milling process at a controlled temperature , which allows the contents to be extracted from the fruit, without altering its properties and capable of enhancing the qualities and sensorial and organoleptic characteristics of the extra virgin olive oil. An extraction plant which with its technology guarantees careful and professional processing of olives, both own and from third parties, olive groves located mainly in the areas of Badalucco, Taggia and Montalto Carpasio.
Passion, dedication and technology are the ingredients that have allowed the company to obtain the highest quality, excellence which is found in all the products offered (Taggiasca extra virgin olive oil -taggiasca monocultivar-, Italian extra virgin olive oil, Taggiasca olives in various recipes, sauces and gravies).
In particular, the Taggiasca olive monocultivar received the “Due Foglie” award from the Gambero Rosso guide of Italian oils in 2018 and 2019.
