Terraliva – Love for one's land and great quality
Terraliva was born in the heart of the Iblean Mountains in the small mountain village of Buccheri, in the province of Syracuse, a poignant place still capable of arousing amazement even in the most distracted tourist.
In a volcanic area at 700 meters above sea level, centuries-old olive trees stand which benefit greatly from the temperature range that is created between day and night and which gives the plants a positive stress capable of ensuring high quality production and with unique organoleptic properties. The olives cultivated are the ancient native cultivars such as Tonda Iblea together with other minor ones such as Nocellara Etnea, Nocellara del Belice and Zaituna.
Extra virgin olive oil is obtained solely from the cold pressing of hand-picked olives. It is certified Organic, IGP Sicily, Kosher and Halal for the respect and needs of the Jewish and Muslim religions, thus ensuring the conformity of the oil to these laws for total purity and authenticity of the product. Cherubino is also a Slow Food Presidium.
Once collected and placed in ventilated boxes, the olives are immediately taken to the mill to be pressed with the Protoreattore, a cutting-edge machine capable of guaranteeing a greater load of polyphenols, the noblest part of the oil: from here a wonderful product which is filtered, placed under nitrogen in silos at a controlled temperature and can then always be traced using the reference batch.
